About Joseph Lowery & LBZ Septic Solutions

LBZ is more than just a name. It represents the heart of the business and the family behind it. LBZ is named after Luke, Blake, and Zack, the Joe’s three sons. As a family-owned and operated company, the name reflects the values of hard work, trust, and commitment that are passed down through the family. Naming the business after his sons was a way to honor their involvement and highlight the strong family foundation on which the company was built.

Joe began his career in the wastewater field two years ago, stepping in to support his father’s septic business in South Bend, Indiana, following his father’s cancer diagnosis. During this time, Joe focused on the inspection side of the industry, leveraging skills from his previous professional experience. His contributions played a key role in strengthening the business, including helping expand installation operations from 32 to 52 projects and implementing employee benefits such as health insurance and a 401(k) program.

After successfully assisting in the sale of his father’s company, Joe launched LBZ Septic Solutions in Howell, Michigan. His goal is to provide reliable, high-quality septic services across Livingston County and the surrounding six-county region. He primarily focuses on septic inspections for home title transfers, as well as pumping services.

Joe is also committed to supporting the next generation of the family business. His son, Luke Lowery of Lowery’s Land Services, is a licensed septic system installer serving Livingston and Washtenaw counties. Together, they aim to deliver comprehensive, full-service septic solutions to their customers.
